Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 29, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how information is collected, used, shared, and retained in the APV DRIVER mobile application (the “App”). The App is published by Artem Prutkov (“APV”) and is a private work tool for drivers who haul freight dispatched by LEXACAR LLC (“LEXACAR”, “we”, “us”), the operating carrier whose dispatch system the App connects to and where collected information is stored and processed. There is no public sign-up: an account can only be created with a one-time registration code issued by the carrier’s dispatch team.

Information we collect

  • Identity and contact details. Your name, phone number, email address, and truck unit number, provided during carrier onboarding and used as your sign-in identifier.
  • Account credentials. Your password is stored only as a salted cryptographic hash. Session tokens are stored only as hashes and expire automatically.
  • Precise location (including in the background). After you accept a load and confirm the in-app tracking notice, the App collects your device’s precise GPS location so dispatch and the shipment’s customer can follow the delivery. One location fix is sent when you accept the load, then approximately every 15 minutes, including while the App is in the background or not actively in use. Collection stops automatically when the load is delivered or cancelled, when you sign out, when your session ends, or when you delete your account. The App does not collect location when you have no accepted active load.
  • Load workflow events. Actions you take on a shipment (accept, decline, arrive, loaded, in transit, delivered), problem reports you submit, and their timestamps.
  • Photos and documents. Bills of lading, proofs of delivery, freight photos, and exception photos you capture or upload for a shipment.
  • Device and technical data. A push-notification token, device platform (iOS or Android), a device label derived from your device’s user agent, and standard server request logs used for security and troubleshooting.

How we use information

  • Dispatching loads to you and operating each shipment from pickup to delivery.
  • Live shipment visibility for the carrier's dispatch team and delivery-exception handling.
  • Collecting and reviewing required shipment paperwork (BOL, POD, freight photos).
  • Calculating and paying your driver settlement for completed loads.
  • Sending you operational push notifications, such as new load offers and document retake requests.
  • Security, fraud prevention, audit trails, dispute resolution, and legal compliance.

We do not use your information for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

How we share information

We share information only as needed to run the shipment and our business, never for advertising:

  • Carrier staff. Dispatchers, trip-monitoring, and billing personnel see your shipment progress, reported issues, documents, and — for active loads — your tracked location.
  • Brokers and customers of a shipment. The freight broker or customer of a load you haul may receive shipment status, location-derived progress updates (for example check calls and ETAs), and delivery documents for that shipment.
  • Invoice factoring provider. Delivery paperwork for a completed shipment (such as the signed POD) may be included in the invoice packet submitted to our factoring provider.
  • Service providers. Companies that host and process data on our behalf under contract: Supabase (database and encrypted file storage), Vercel (application hosting), and Expo (push-notification delivery).
  • Legal. When required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of the carrier, our drivers, or the public.

Background location — plain summary

  • Tracking never starts before you accept a load and confirm the in-app tracking notice.
  • While a load is active, location is collected while the App is in the background or not actively in use.
  • Android shows a persistent notification while tracking runs; iOS shows the system location indicator.
  • Tracking stops at delivery or cancellation, on sign-out, when your session is revoked or expires, and when your account is deleted.

Retention

  • Account credentials, your sign-in identifier, active sessions, and push tokens are removed when your account is deleted.
  • Shipment records — workflow events, location points recorded during shipments, uploaded documents and photos — are business records of the freight we hauled. They are retained for as long as required by law, tax, insurance, and contractual obligations, and are protected by access controls rather than deleted with the account.
  • The carrier's internal driver registry entry (your name and contact details as our contractor) is likewise retained as a business record.
  • Server logs are retained for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.

Security

  • All traffic between the App and our servers uses TLS (HTTPS).
  • Passwords and session tokens are stored only as cryptographic hashes.
  • Documents and photos live in private storage; downloads require short-lived signed links.
  • Staff access is role-restricted, and driver API access is limited to the loads assigned to you.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account inside the App: Help → Delete account. Deletion is confirmed in the App, takes effect immediately, signs the account out of all devices, and permanently removes your credentials, sign-in identifier, and push tokens. If you have an active shipment you must finish or decline it first, so an in-progress delivery is never left without its driver channel. Full details, including what is retained and why, are on the account deletion page.

Your choices and rights

  • Location permission is controlled in your device settings. Without background location access you cannot accept loads, because live tracking is a condition of dispatch.
  • You can disable push notifications in device settings; you may miss time-critical load offers.
  • You can request access to or correction of your information, or ask questions about this policy, using the contact below.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have additional statutory privacy rights; we honor applicable ones on request.

Children

The App is a commercial driving tool and is not directed at, or available to, anyone under 18 years of age.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update this page and its date. Material changes will be communicated to drivers through the App or by dispatch.
